CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Children’s ministry at Pillar Killeen is a top priority. We don’t see it as babysitting. Rather, we see children’s ministry as an opportunity to train up the next generation of believers in Jesus Christ. So, we take children’s ministry very seriously.
We use the Gospel Project curriculum, which takes children through the entire Bible in 3 years. Also, in every lesson we present the “Christ Connection”, showing children how all the Scriptures point to Jesus (Luke 24:27).
Families are welcome to keep their children in the service with them, but if a family chooses to be a part of Pillar Kids, then children up to 3rd grade will be dismissed just before the sermon. All Pillar Kids volunteers will be screened, trained, and background checked to ensure your child’s safety.
FAQ
Pillar Killeen is a baptist church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We are also part of the Praetorian Project, which is a family of multiplying churches in military communities worldwide (learn more at praetorianproject.org)
Our services will usually last about an hour. Each Sunday service will consist of prayers and readings from Scripture, 3-4 songs, a time for communion, and a sermon.
Our Sunday worship services will be held inside a rented facility. We do this because often times church plants meet in schools, homes, and whatever spaces they are able to find as they pray about and pursue a more permanent location.
